Not many people get to see pinky joeys in the wild. Only when a mum macropod trusts its nearby humans will she allow her joey to pop its head out of the pouch and look at these strange human creatures. As wildlife carers we are super lucky as we often get to see our grand-joeys grow up.
This little joey (who we think might be Coffee Bean’s bub) is SUPER eager and confident. For a tiny pinky with no colour at all, it is already hanging its arms out and nuzzling the dirt as its mum goes about her daily routine.
These great photos were captured by Eva, who is back helping for another month… Yahhhhh!!!
