An exquisite find in the riparian zone at Araucaria Sanctuary…. This fresh, vibrant green Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum aethiopicum) was a very surprising discovery at the base of a huge, gnarly Apple Gum (Angophora subvelutina F.Muell)
This is the first Maidenhair Fern we have seen, and weren’t previously aware they were native! So another plant to add to our species list!
