Today was a big day of weeding and planting in a very soggy area. We pulled out lots of Broad-leafed Paspalum and Ageratum, and planted more than 30 home propagated Lomandras, Sygiums and Native Ginger. We carefully left all the Beard grass, so the native carpet will expand. We are hoping that the Lomandras will grow fast and slow down the water flow in this dam overflow area.
It doesn’t look too impressive yet, but if you squint your eyes you can envisage the area dense with Lomandra clumps.
