Remember Basil, the Mountain Brushtail Possum? This little guy was raised from a young joey by WIRES Northern Rivers Possum Coordinator – Jeanette.
When Basil was old enough to be in a bigger enclosure he came to live at Araucaria Sanctuary, where he was in care for many months – eating native foliage and fruits and meal worms.
So now Basil is making his way out in the world – still with a little bit of support feed. Abi has been keeping an eye on him with our wildlife cameras. He is doing well and has a female visitor some nights!
