Thank you

A fabulous end of year and birthday gathering with some of our wonderful Sanctuary helpers and friends.

We are overbrimming with gratitude for the support so many people have shown us this year. It has been a rough ride, and we couldn’t have done it without the many many ways so many people have assisted us. So:

  • To those who came and did milk making and bottling, and helped with laundry and lunch feeds week after week
  • To those who helped us so much when the floods happened, from those first days of wading through mud, to the weeks and weeks of ripping out walls and kitchens….
  • To those who helped pinky-sit while we got in that extra hour or two in town in those desperate early days after the disaster
  • To those who turned up with meals for us when we were at our busiest with joeys and had no energy left to cook
  • To those who helped do stakes and tree guards on the thousands of trees, or helped with planting
  • To those who picked up supplies from town, or were there to bring us home when our cars broke down
  • To those who turned up at the crack of dawn with bags of grass and foliage and the energy to do early morning feeds
  • To those who dropped everything to help repair and construct new enclosures when we urgently needed to relocate joeys
  • To those who helped with rescues, transport, and transfers, particularly with those long trips to BBWH, helping get the joeys the assistance they needed
  • To those who helped tirelessly to keep the landcare work going, lovingly planting and tending areas of the Sanctuary that will forever remember your contributions
  • To those who have pioneered our Rock Valley Dark Dances, which have brought joy to our valley hall
  • To all our friends who brought the social world to us when we were too busy to go out to get it
  • We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
  • Love from Renata, Don and all the joeys and other creatures you have helped us save this past year.
