Welcome back Abi… and the trees go in

Our wonderful sanctuary friend, Abi Andrews, who stayed at Araucaria for a year in 2020/2021 is back to visit for a few weeks. We are more than delighted and the joeys are in seventh heaven in her care.

With Abi’s support and experience in tree planting we have been getting lots of young plants in the ground along the riparian zone. Some of the trees were grown and donated by Abi’s partner Ben.

We have also been planting some gorgeous trees given to us by our good friend and WIRES raptor carer Melanie Barsony. These glorious Black Beans and Sandpaper Figs were grown with much love and we feel privileged to be able to give them a home at our Sanctuary.

Our wonderful friend and helper, Kym, was also able to join us on Tuesday for some weeding and planting fun.
